Denver part 3 and last

This part of the memorial had a place for the relatives to say something about each person that was there

This part had different qoutes

It was freezing!! But absolutely beautiful!!

I'm almost positive that it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! And I'm not being sarcastic.

I'm telling you, it was stunning and magnificent!

Garden of the Gods, it was so much fun!

We had so much fun there! And we got kicked out! :) hahahahaha

Columbine High School quickly put life in perspective. It was sobering. And I'm very glad I went. If you're ever around, you should go. It definitely made my thinking wheels start turning. Pike's Peak was absolutely wonderful. It was kind of disappointing in the part that it was a 3 hour round trip, and we were only there for 20 minutes, but it was wonderful. Beautiful. You have to go. I'm telling you. I've told you to go to a billion places, but I wasn't kidding about any of them! And Garden of the Gods was fun! A lot of us climbed part of the rocks. We really thought we could, because there was a path leading to it, and we saw other people doing it. We got super de duper high. It was, what's a new word, incredible... fantastic. Don't you love Roget's Thesaurus? Well, we got really high, and the view was astonishing. Then some staff from there told us that only professionals could climb the rock. So we left. But it was the most fun I had had in a long time. So that's about it. There you go. I'll try to update the Student Life pictures soon. But whenever I say that, I don't ever do anything for a while. I'm trying though.

If you can, click on it and make it bigger and see why we were all praying. It's on the cardboard sitting on the fence.

So here are some more pictures from Tuesday and Wednesday in Denver. Wednesday's concert was really powerful! So there you go. I'm listening to the Wicked soundtrack. It's awesome!! :) You should go listen to it. But more importantly, you should go see it!!!!!!!!! It's totally amazing! :) I love it! But I'm going to post some more Denver pictures. Then I'll show y'all some pictures of StudentLife pictures. We went to Branson, MO. It was really awesome, and everybody learned lots. Hopefully, lives will be changed for forever.

Mission Denver Part 1

Beautiful! I love Colorado!

Music time!

"Leaning on the Lord's Side"

Everyone wins!! :)

Here is the first of several posts for our trip to Denver. We (Mom, Erica, and I) went there with our youth choir for a week in late June/early July. It was lots of fun! We did Bible Clubs (mini vbs) in the mornings at 3 different parks, and we did block parties and sang in the evenings. On Thursday we went to 2 different homeless shelters. These are just pictures of Sunday and Monday. The pictures of music is Erica's location. All 70 of us split up into 3 different groups for 3 different parks, and I was in a different place than Mom and Erica. And "Everyone Wins" is at the block party at their park. Sorry if that's confusing. Denver was the best ever! :)

Having Fun

Old pictures from June of us riding Cleo and having fun! I love it when we all go out as a family and just sit out there and talk. It's one of my favorite things in the whole wide world.

gifts from the Hastings!

Well, these are kinda late, but I haven't been blogging for a while. It'll take quite a few blogs to catch y'all up to date. But these are pictures of Erica's graduation party. It was really fun. A great big THANK YOU goes out to everyone who helped us celebrate Erica's success. We ate for a little while. Then a whole bunch of us went out to the pasture and rode Cleo and chased chicks. We really enjoyed it. Erica is going to Lamar this fall. I don't know what else there is to say. I'll probably keep blogging for a while.

Well, over the Memorial weekend, we drove down to Grandma's house & visited all the family. It was a great time and we really enjoyed seeing everyone. Bret, Kayla & Heath went fishing on Monday.......they caught more than fish! Kayla was very excited when she caught a shark. Thanks very much to Heath for the trip & all the fun. We were able to enjoy some very good fish for dinner. Hope we can all get together again really soon with Darwin, Neva, Jenna, Randall, Heath, Lori, Seth, Natasidy, Kevin, Claire and of course, Grandma! Shelly
