Camping with awesome people! :)
I promise Kayla's calf will be next! Haha but this was over our spring break also. We went a day after Kayla and I got back from E-Rock. It was super fun! We were at South Toledo Bend State Park over the weekend. Uncle Greg (Mom's brother) and his family came, along with Grandma's brother, and his children. It was a family reunion! :) And one that I can't wait to do again.

Enchanted Rock!
So Kayla and I went to Enchanted Rock over our Spring Break. It's in Fredericksburg, TX, is absolutely beautiful, and I recommend that everyone go! It's super duper fun! You can climb rocks, hike, camp, and repel if you know the right people. :) Kayla and I did. Our youth minister does this every year, so he helped us.
We repelled all that morning (There were 10 of us total, so we had to wait our turn). We went off the shorter one early, then we went up to the higher one. The higher one was 75 ft. We probably finished around 2. Then after lunch, we went hiking and rock climbing. It totally rocked! Haha :) We walked around on the ground for a while, then went up some small rocks. Then we went up a 2.5 mile rock. Can you say sore? Gosh was I ever. But it was totally worth it! :D The view was gorgeous, and it was funnnn! :) Y'all really do need to go!

Sneak peak on Kayla's calf! :D Post on her coming soon. Heehee

Kayla got her calf on Tuesday night. It's super cute! And really sweet. She's a shorthorn, for all you smart people out there who know what I'm talking about. Haha two months ago I wouldn't have known what that meant. But more pics of Kayla and cutie later. :)
P.S. The calf's unofficial name is Alexandria, but we keep debating over whether we like the name or not, so it's subject to change. :)

Kayla and the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo w/Calf Scramble
GREAT day! :)))
Well, Kayla participated in the calf scramble at the Houston Rodeo on Thursday, March 4th. She was against 20 boys and 7 girls who were all after 14 calves. She did catch one and almost had the rope halter all the way on - but it got away. However, she was awarded the Hardship Award (given to a participant who tried very hard, but didn't catch a calf) and received her certificate to buy a calf to show in next year's rodeo. It will be a hard, long but great year for all of us. We'll keep you updated. But for now, we are rejoicing!

A few of my recent favorite pictures
Well, the top 2 pictures are from November. But the last ones are on sunny days here on the farm. The sun makes you want to go outside and frolic - or at least enjoy the beauty with our animals.......the girls and animals are both very photogenic. :) And all very cute. Hope you enjoy my favs - I have many more; but wanted to share a few.
