Sunrise Captured by Kayla

just peeking thru

WOW!

Kayla awakes most mornings by 5:30 to head to the barn to tend to animals. Every morning for a week, she commented about the beautiful sunrises she had the opportunity to enjoy. So Tuesday, August 23rd - the second day of school, she grabbed the camera on her way out to capture the awesome sunrise. Of course, a camera can never capture the true awesomeness of seeing a sunrise in person.....but these were certainly very wonderful. They were taken over a 15 minute time span. Hope you enjoy God's beautiful creation thru these pictures!

One year ago August 14th, we began our journey in showing Alec - our calf scramble heifer. She was 11 months old and we were newbies!! Wow, what we have learned since that first show!! It has been an amazing year full of work and fun and early morning Saturdays. And now, Alec is pregnant and will have a baby for us to have fun with sometime in March. :)

silly! :))

my how tall all of you are.....especially Andrew standing on tip toes!

Well, our annual trip was at the very end of the summer before school began for all of us. I guess it will continue to get harder to gather our troops together - but we will still continue to meet as often as possible!! We were able to arrive on Saturday evening so we could attend church with the Hastings on Sunday. What a joy that was! We were able to be there on the first Sunday with over 200! What an awesome milestone. The church continues to grow and expand as the Lord leads. We spent the rest of the week just enjoying being together and encouraging one another....what awesome friends to lift one another up! We already miss them, but are thankful for the time we were able to spend together and now to plan the next time together!! :))
Love to all the Hastings,
from the Hagemeiers!

We dropped Alec off in April to be bred.......we finally picked her up in August. BUT it was worth the wait because she is indeed pregnant! :) We should have a baby shorthorn in March. We are very excited; but especially Kayla!

It is so hard to believe that Aggie is over one year old!! She was born July 18th on a rainy Sunday evening. Everything is always changing on the farm! My she has grown! It has been a very fun year on the farm!
